The Wedding of Jane and Glenn

Wedding of Jane and Glenn Jane and Glenn had most of their wedding arrangements in place but five weeks from the big day, asked if Metropolis would take the reins to pull everything together for them at their reception venue, the local village hall in Collingham. They wanted the decor of the hall and tables to remind them of the round the world trip experience that they had shared, especially Thailand where Glenn had proposed to Jane.

So, we decorated the hall with paper shades, fairy lights and white muslin and, instead of traditional round tables, used long tables and gilt chairs. The table decor was simple but stylish with white linen, pretty starburst lilies and candles.

Guests enjoyed Thai food prepared and brought in by a local restaurant and, as a novel idea for dessert, and to give us time to turn the room round for the partying, the guests collected their Mr Whippy Ice Cream from a van hired in for the afternoon!
