Metropolis in the Community

I have been delighted to take on the organisation of local community events. Here are the stories of two of those, My BD5 Extended School and the U Factor.

My BD5 Fun Day

Metropolis Events were asked to help launch the My BD5 Extended Schools initiative in Bradford, West Yorkshire. An Extended School is one that provides a range of services and activities often beyond the school day and is designed to meet the needs of local pupils, their families and the wider community.

Metropolis Events organised a highly enjoyable Fun Day which included a children's entertainer, games, story telling, singing, live bands and much more. There was even a chillout zone just for the mums.

The U Factor

As a result of my work with BD5, Metropolis Events was asked to organise a local community version of the X Factor and so the U Factor was born. Unique Education is the brainchild of Mandy Roylance and helps young people between the ages of 8 and 19 to believe in themselves and develop a more positive future.

Metropolis Events were delighted to provide the youngsters with a platform to showcase their talents and a fun, lively and stimulating evening was enjoyed by all.
